Newspaper and acting as Social Media Officer for Coffee Society.

 

11/2024 – Now. Head of Social Media and Advertising.

Forge Press (FP) – Sheffield, South Yorkshire

  • Development of a plan to promote FP throughout the academic year. This includes utilising consistent typefaces, understanding scheduling and analytics tool Meta Business Suite, and allocating tasks amongst committee members. In 28 days, content interactions increased by 896%.

  • Analysis and understanding of best scheduling times. As a result, I increased followers by 47.6% and our reach by 151%.

  • Omnichannel approach, utilising hyperlinks and calls-to-action leading to a 59% increase in website visits.

 

08/2023 – 08/2024. Wiser Ambassador.

Wiser Academy – Sheffield, South Yorkshire

  • A strong understanding of different social media platforms and their needs, creating content on LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram representing brands including Frasers Group and L’Oréal to promote student and graduate roles.

  • Headhunting and helping students apply to different roles through outreach and acquisition techniques.

  • Attending events such as Careers Fairs to help students apply for roles. I provided a welcoming atmosphere, with our Careers Fair stall receiving over 100 visitors.

 

07/2023 – 05/2023. Social Media Content Creator & Volunteer Coordinator

Tabby Teas – Sheffield, South Yorkshire

  • Creating Instagram stories, TikTok posts and captions for the Tabby Teas Instagram, with multiple posts receiving over 10,000 views and doubling like count on Instagram. I analysed current social media trends and consumer wants and adapted content accordingly.

  • Organising and checking in with volunteers who were available for each working day and trialling new volunteers with an understanding of different requirements and sensitivities.

 

(11/2022 – 06/2024). Freelance Copywriter.

Sheffield Hallam University, Accelerate Agency, Haskn, Word Tonic, etc. - Remote

  • Writing up long-form B2B copy for different clients in the tech and SaaS sector (blogs and e-books).

  • Ensuring all blogs are SEO-optimised with keywords and internal & external link building.

  • Collaborating on social media projects, garnering 260+ ad taps and converting 4 customers in less than a day for Word Tonic.

 

12/2022 – 07/2023. Proofreader, Marketing and Social Media Copywriter.

Teenagers with Experience – Remote

  • Writing up copy for TWE’s Instagram to encourage young people to join and administrating their LinkedIn page by adjusting my tone of voice (TOV) and understanding the brand message.

  • Proofreading articles and social media posts to ensure clarity and correct grammar and creating aesthetic infographics to accompany them.

  • Analysis of consumer needs and wants, leading to my creation of their highest liked Instagram post in over 2 years. This gained me Social Media Admin of the Month

 

05/2022 – 05/2023. Editor.

Sheffield Talking News – Sheffield, South Yorkshire

  • Collecting news articles to be read aloud to the blind and visually impaired (an audience of roughly 250 listeners). This required appropriate time management skills.

  • Editing articles to create clarity when read aloud and to ensure everything is grammatically correct by proofreading and reading aloud.

  • Adjusting my TOV and analysing consumers so as to successfully copywrite witty introduction and goodbye messages.

 

09/2022 – 1/2023. Writer & Editor.

Exposed Magazine – Sheffield, South Yorkshire

  • Pitching and writing articles, analysing competitors and events in Sheffield to gauge potentially successful content.

  • Interviewing small companies for magazine coverage, this required a personable and welcoming manner to create comfort among clientele.

  • Transcribing interviews, editing, and proofreading for clarity, requiring great attention to detail

  • Utilising WordPress and optimising SEO to publish successful articles.

 

Skills and Achievements

  • Finalist of the Charted Institute of Marketing’s ‘The Pitch’ competition in 2025.

  • Bronze, Silver, and Gold Hallam Awards for extracurricular activities such as volunteering

  • Attaining 266 ad taps and converted four customers in less than two days for an Instagram advert for Word Tonic, utilising a casual TOV.

  • Over 10k views achieved on TikTok through multiple concepts.

  • Course representative for 2 years during my undergraduate degree.
